"Look at them. Just look. They have chipped nail polish and lipstick on their teeth. They trip over themselves sometimes and they attack their lunch like they've been in exile. But they're beautiful. There are so many things wrong, imperfect, misguided, plain ugly about them but that's why they're so beautiful. Even when we find something so terrifying, so gross we can't stop looking at them. We can't stop loving them. They're creatures of the city. They see skylines of land being used up for shabby flats and Nigerian hair salons, they're surrounded by the sounds of vehicle motors and train tracks, bitter women of age and colour, men with absent father syndrome. These girls are so beautiful but they are so lost."
